This is singlehandedly the thing that has changed how I work the most, it's not just the declarative nature of how Nixos works it's actually its huge library of software that has made me stay.
Game changer, aside from being able to use the network like a LAN the proxy features have come in so handy. Now I can reroute local machines to the open web so long as I also have a VPS also on the same tailscale network.
Tmux has increasingly become more valuable in my toolkit as new tooling comes down the pipeline. Good terminal tools age better whilst the GUI full solutions have become less valuable. Paired with Claude Code I can have persistent AI sessions and code editing workflows. I'm still scratching the surface it feels.
Air I would argue is essential for any serious vibe coding session, restarting your server and self running with every change commited.
As previously outlined in a previous blog post, Navidrome has increasingly taken over my music consumption as a platform. On top of that I have also started using Jellyfin to watch self hosted movies and tv series.
In conjunction with that I have several AI generated services to interface with spotdl, piratebay, soulseek.
