Few worldly posessions have me in a chokehold as much watches. I am addicted to them. There is something about using a fully mechanical wrist watch that is intoxicating and hard to explain. Through out the years I have managed to accumulate a few, I currently have 4 in rotation and am quite happy with the current rotation. Though when the oppportunity presents itself like at junk shops, antique shops, etc my eyes always drift to the watches available and it has been rewarding to me on multiple ocassions now. My collection is not expensive they are just what I have come to enjoy.

Technos Sky Light

Technos is a defunct swiss brand that died in the quartz craze. I got this by trading for it with my SKX007, the sportier design of the SKX just doesn't suit my style anymore. I can't say wether or not it was good a swap monetary wise but I definitely use the Technos way more than I ever did the SKX. Most of which perhaps come from the brown strap I got it with. Currently keeps decent time but runs out of gas if not worn frequently.

Vostok Manual Wind

My cheapest watch at $80 and probably my most worn on wrist. These are great reliable watches. The lack of date is probably why I gravitate towards it the most often since there is no need to constant adjust the day date complication which all my other watches have. This honestly feels the most reliable out of all my watches as far as time keeping goes, though I have not measured this to any specificity. The only real caveat about these old Vostoks is that they are LOUD. I do not keep it in the bedroom if I wore it that day, in a quite room this thing is deafening it is incredibly loud for something so small.

Orient PMAA (Three Star Square Face)

An antique shop find, I got it for around $150 if I recall correctly. This thing is gorgeous and a bit unusual. Design wise the Cartier nods are obvious, though the day complication is so good it scrolls in reverse order of the usual clock face. The red dot indicates the current date. Super fun watch, highly recommend these. Runs about 5 minutes too fast a day.

Mido Datoday Commander

This watch i found in a junk pile at Solo antique market in 2024. I bought it for about 1 million rupiah (approx $100) though it was in a broken unusable condition, I got it repaired in solo too not to far from the market for about $20. I really like this watch but for for some reason I reach for it the least. Keeps good time.
